...attempting to stop a giant, sword-wielding woman warrior from destroying San Francisco, the Girl of Steel is knocked out.

Then the warrioress, separates Kara's soul/astral self/spirit from her body and transports her to a pocket dimension within Supergirl's inert form which is being destroyed by the heroine's innate goodness!

Yeah, I know it doesn't make much sense, but go with it...

Sadly, her relationship with Geoff only lasted three more issues, when she quit the TV station and her strip left Adventure Comics for its' own book...which leads us into...

Though Sekowsky was no longer the writer/editor/illustrator, the then-current creatives felt his "touch" was needed, and he returned to pencil three of of the final four issues of Supergirl's stint in Adventure Comics!

This never-reprinted story from DC's Adventure Comics #421 (1972) was the last of the Gothic/horror tales in the CW's Favorite Heroine's strip.

The two remaining stories were a re-do of King Kong (with the Girl of Steel as Fay Wray) and a mind-controlled Superman against Supergirl and the Justice League!
